Little
Ferry, NJ -- Eventide’s all-inclusive Anthology II plug-in bundle for Pro
Tools TDM provides a wide range of sonic possibilities for Music
Director/Guitarist/Trumpeter Angel Fernandez. Deployed on a wide
variety of projects at his studio Missing Lynx in Hollis, NY,
Fernandez recently produced a track for Jorge Villamizar of the
widely popular Rock-en-Espanol group, Bacillos. Also, Fernandez
produced a track for the soon-to-be-released CD by the trend setting
act, Aventura entitled “Aventura: The Last.”
“The
Anthology II plug-ins are a mixer's dream: classic sounds from the
'70s, '80s, and '90s merged with software engineering of today for a
whole new generation of effects. Ultra-Channel is probably the best
channel strip on the market, with a transparent equalizer, effective
dynamics control, and instant chorusing and delay effects. A one-stop
shop in the mix environment to get results fast. The legacy series of
Omnipressor, Instant Flanger, Instant Phaser, and H910/H949 are the
effects from the '70s that made Eventide famous, and with the
software versions it's easy to see why. They sound exactly like the
originals. Try using them for stuff they weren't specifically
designed for: as an example, I use the Instant Flanger as a 3-D
enhancer on stereo tracks and effects - spinning the phase dial
changes both tone and dimension. It's subtle magic!! When compressing
room mics on drums for special effects, the Omnipressor has NO
equal,” states Fernandez. “I especially like The Eventide
Reverb, which is smooth and pristine, in a league with the best
digital reverb effects ever made. I use it on everything to add depth
to mixes.”
Fernandez
recently returned from performing with Marc Anthony at the largest
festival in Latin America, the 2009 Festival de Vinas del Mar in
Chile. The annual event which spans six days, is televised in over
30 countries, and is widely considered the most important musical
event in Latin America.
